Youth Fest
This is our main event of the year considering the many activities sponsored by Generation Y.E.S. This "fun day" consists
of food, fun, games, prizes, and music at the park. Our youth fest is for the youth and by the youth. Sponsored and hosted by Generation Y.E.S., our Youth Fest features
a talent display featuring the Youth Against Drugs Step Team.
Youth Fest generates alot of excitement and pride within our youth. Generation YES set up this day in order to promote a drug-free community.
The youth are placed in charge of this entire event, from the raising money for the event to running game booths. The planning and final execution
teaches a great amount of responsibility while building their self-esteem.

Martin Luther King March and Talent Show
In conjunction with the Citizens for Dr. King, we host and sponsor the annual march that starts at Biscoe Town Hall and commences
at East Montgomery High School. Rain, sleet,or shine (and we have seen it all) we attract a slew of youth all the way up to
senior citizens. The highlight of the day is the talent show which showcases youth talent from the surrounding communities.

College Tour 2003
There are a growing number of youth in Generation Y.E.S. that are now preparing for college. It's definitely a bittersweet feeling
for the adult leaders, however we cannot send them off into the Real World without helping them prepare as much as we can. This year we have scheduled a college
tour campaign that will take us to NC A&T State University and NC Central University.

Summer Enrichment Program
Generation Y.E.S. sponsored a weeklong summer school program in 1999("Prepare to Learn, Learn to Prepare") for the community of Biscoe that
focused on cultural enlightenment, academic excellence, spiritual upliftment, and team building. Funding for this program was supplemented by a
grant from the Montgomery County Commissioners.

After School Tutorial Program
Generation Y.E.S. organized tutorial programs from 1999-2001 to help provide a conducive learning environment for completing their homework.
This was a very valuable and enriching program since it stimulated academic excellence with the community and also provided assistance for youth whose parents weren't
always available to help.

Senior Citizen Appreciation: Thanksgiving Baskets
One of organization's favorite annual activity is the Thanksgiving Baskets for Our Senior Citizens. The youth take great satisfaction in
engaging in the purchase of items, construction of baskets, and actual door-to-door delivery. It helps build a sense of 'giving back' and also builds respect for
our oldest citizens in the community. Likewise, our senior citizens take solace in the fact that someone is thinking about them and the youth actually cares.

Community Cleanup
This is another activity designed specifically to help build community pride in our youth. It is also a team building exercise
helped to create a sense of team work in achieving goals. Beautifying one's community is a trait that we hope lasts with our youth for a lifetime.
